Aether is a four-channel video installation, projected and mapped on three simple objects and accompanied by a brown noise soundscape at times combined with the original registered audio. A few elemental objects/containers that act as displays mirror the raw purity found in natural landscapes, encouraging a deep connection between the viewer and the created environment. The objects stand as metaphors for the human experience of nature—quiet, still, and meditative. The dialogue between the stillness of the objects and the moving image projected captures the interplay of inner and outer worlds, of perceived emptiness and hidden fullness. The minimal scene aims to foster a sense of inner calm, inviting introspection and reflection on our connection with the natural world. The video projections reveal elements of nature and human interaction with it. This dynamic yet understated presence brings to life the idea of nature’s transformative power. Just as nature can calm and stabilise the mind, the projection reflects how something seemingly empty can, in reality, be full of meaning and emotion. The emptiness of space and form allows viewers to fill the void with their emotions, memories, and connection with nature. Thus, it blurs the lines between feeling empty and full, balancing reduction and the emotional richness of personal experience. Aether invites the audience to enter this transformative space, where emptiness becomes full through emotional resonance.
