Colombo Industrie Tessili and FROY together for women's rights.
ARTWAR is a project initiated by Colombo Industrie Tessili, a historical company founded in 1962 in the province of Como, and Froy, a clothing brand created by Arman Avetikyan. The project aimed to raise awareness of the deprivation of women’s rights around the world, especially in a moment characterized by conflict such as in Iran. I was invited along with two other international artists, Liana Ghukasyan from Armenia and Saba Najafi from Iran, to design a foulard to express the importance of those battles and convey their voices. The limited capsule collection of foulards, signed by each artist, was exhibited and sold at LeoGalleries in Monza. The amount raised from the sales was donated to Fondazione Pangea Onlus which is committed to defending women in Afghanistan.
