This work stems from a long-standing reflection on the Mediterranean and its characteristic blue and warmth. While the vast sea and endless blue sky naturally come to mind, I was searching for a form that evokes the strong connections between the countries bordering this region.

The twenty-three flags of these Mediterranean countries are combined to create a single emblem: a shared flag, the flag of the Mediterranean.
